About Endo Library
Hi, I’m Pteyra. 🤍
Endo Library began through a project I created called Library of Human Experience, a space dedicated to documenting real human experiences across topics.
When I created an endometriosis form for Library of Human Experience, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was honestly so scared to reach out to people to share their stories about such a deeply personal topic.
One day, I shared it in a Facebook group. The response was incredible, with lots of comments and 57 people sharing their experiences.
Reading those stories, along with the kind messages and feedback from contributors, made me realize how meaningful it could be to have a dedicated space where endometriosis experiences could be documented, preserved, explored, and shared.
That was the beginning of Endo Library.
At first, I thought about reaching out to endometriosis organizations to see if they would be interested in creating something like this.
After speaking with people within the endometriosis community, my perspective evolved.
Many organizations are already doing incredible work through awareness, education, advocacy, fundraising, research, and supporting people living with endometriosis. Rather than asking someone to take on an idea that didn’t really exist yet, it felt more meaningful to build the foundation first.
My approach is simple.
Create the space.
Allow people to experience it.
Build it thoughtfully alongside the community.
From there, everything else can unfold naturally.
As more people discover Endo Library, it may naturally reach creators, advocates, organizations, and others who connect with the vision. If that leads to people within the community wanting to help shape or carry the project forward, that would be incredible.
But nothing depends on that.
The most important thing is that this space exists.
Endo Library is dedicated to documenting and preserving the real experiences of people living with endometriosis around the world. Every story contributes to a deeper understanding of the condition and helps build a lasting resource for awareness, education, advocacy, and research.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their story, offered encouragement, feedback, ideas, and support.
This library is for you, and it will always be shaped by the people it’s for. 🤍
